How to Download Music from Spotify
In offline mode, Spotify lets you listen to your music on the go. You can use Spotify’s offline mode as a premium member while using your computer, phone, or tablet the same way. Download the Spotify app. Go to the Google Play Store (for Android products) or Apple Store (for Apple products), search for Spotify, and download the official app to your phone. If you have a tablet, how to set up Spotify offline is the same as your tablet’s phone.
Please create or upgrade your Spotify account. Spotify Offline Only Premium members can download and listen to music without wifi. In other words, you pay for the service. If you do not already have an account with Spotify, you’ll need to browse the website and click Get Spotify Premium” on the first page. Follow the instructions on the site to create a premium account.
If you already have a free account on Spotify, please log in and click on the “Premium” tab in the upper right area of the screen. Follow Spotify’s onscreen instructions to upgrade. Instead of registering your email account and specifically entering your personal information, you can use your Facebook account by clicking on the “Join Facebook” option.
Make sure you are connected to the Internet. Because cellular data can be costly, Spotify recommends downloading over an Internet connection. If you need to download using data, go to Settings and tap “Download using your phone” to enable this feature.
Create playlists. Go to “Library” at the bottom of the app interface, select “Playlists”, tap “Edit”, tap the white plus sign, then enter the name and tap “Create.” Add songs to this playlist by tapping the Options” button next to the song, selecting “Add to playlist,” and choosing the name of the playlist.
Download the playlist. From your phone’s interface, go to the Library page and select the playlist, song, artist, or album you’d like to download. At the top of the song, playlist, artist, or album screen, slide the button under “Available offline” to the right. Music downloads begin.
The green arrows continue to appear next to songs that you’ve successfully downloaded from your iPhone or iPad, but the progress of the download appears as a green bar under the “Library” heading on your library page.
Android phones do not have a bar under “Library” as part of the download interface, but a green arrow appears next to the track when the download is complete. Please enable offline mode. When you have finished downloading the tracks, find the “Your Library” tab at the bottom of the screen and select it to load the settings options. From the Settings menu, select “Play” and slide the button next to “Offline” to the right. It should turn green to indicate that you have successfully implemented offline mode!

Your phone automatically goes offline when you are out of Wi-Fi range or in airplane mode.

Customize your Spotify music. Sign in to Spotify to search by genre, new releases, and playlists. Add specific tracks or full playlists to your personal account by clicking the white plus sign next to track and playlist names. You can also view these entries by clicking one of the links under the heading “YOUR MUSIC” on the left side of the interface.
Please enable offline mode. Click “File” on the menu bar and then click the “Offline Mode” option. You should now use Spotify’s offline listening feature! Keep in mind that you can actively select available offline” and create fully downloaded tracks. If you lose your Wi-Fi signal suddenly, Spotify will automatically go into offline mode.
